All 7 Products in This Series
4 sub-types covering crude oil tanks, refined product tanks, methanol / light-product vessels and oil tank trucks — in solvent-free epoxy, solvent-borne epoxy and polyurethane formulations.
Storage tank internal linings operate under full-immersion conditions in crude oil, refined petroleum products, aviation fuels and chemical solvents — demanding coatings with chemical resistance, antistatic performance, film integrity over years of service and compatibility with tank cleaning procedures. Electrostatic discharge from non-conductive tank linings is a recognised fire and explosion hazard; all products in this series are formulated to achieve surface resistance <10⁶ Ω.
The series spans four chemistry platforms — solvent-free epoxy for zero-VOC service, solvent-borne epoxy for refined product and crude oil tanks, two-component polyurethane for oil tank trucks and transport vessels, and a specialist methanol-resistant antistatic system for light-product and chemical storage. All products require Sa 2.5 blast preparation for full performance.

Where These Coatings Are Used
Stored medium and operating conditions determine coating system selection — antistatic performance is mandatory for all flammable product tanks.
Crude Oil Storage Tanks
Crude oil tanks require antistatic linings capable of sustained immersion in crude at up to 60–80°C, including tank water. PLH54-3 coal tar epoxy primer + antistatic topcoat system and PLH54-1 antistatic epoxy are both specified for crude oil tank internal linings. PLS54-31 polyurethane antistatic coating offers a no-primer-required alternative.
Refined Product & Aviation Fuel Tanks
Gasoline, diesel, kerosene, aviation spirit and aviation kerosene tanks demand antistatic linings with no swelling or dissolution and zero product contamination. PLH52-6 solvent-free antistatic epoxy and PLH54-2 refined product tank lining system are the primary choices. PLH54-1 also covers aviation spirit and naphtha service.
Oil Tank Trucks & Transport Vessels
Oil tanker trucks and transport tank vessels require lightweight, flexible coatings that resist vibration and thermal cycling in addition to oil immersion. PLS54-5 two-component polyurethane primer / topcoat / clear system provides the combination of flexibility, oil resistance and surface hardness needed for tank truck service.
Methanol, Ethanol & Light-Product Vessels
Methanol and ethanol are highly aggressive solvents that attack most standard tank lining formulations. PLT-1 methanol-resistant antistatic coating is the only product in the series specifically engineered for sustained methanol and ethanol service — with outstanding solvent resistance, excellent conductivity and long-term antistatic performance for flammable storage facilities.
