Surface Preparation for I
Vinyl Phosphating Primer (2K) – Two-component phosphating primer for galvanized steel, aluminum, and other light metals.
Forms chemical adhesion to improve intercoat adhesion of subsequent coatings.
Low film thickness system: 15–25 µm DFT per coat; theoretical consumption 0.06 kg/m² at 20 µm DFT.
Min. recoat 2 h (25°C); dedicated PLX06 thinner (10–20%).
Overview
Two-component vinyl phosphating primer formulated to form a coating with chemical adhesion on non-ferrous/light metal surfaces and improve adhesion of subsequent coatings.
It is used for phosphating treatment on galvanized steel and aluminum; when used with epoxy anti-rust coatings, it is stated to enhance salt spray corrosion resistance and moisture resistance of the coating film.
Composition
Polyvinyl butyral resin, anti-rust pigments, passivator, solvent, additives; acidified curing agent.
Typical uses
Phosphating treatment primer for galvanized steel, aluminum, and other light metal substrates to improve intercoat adhesion of subsequent coatings.
When used with epoxy anti-rust coatings, it is stated to enhance salt spray corrosion resistance and moisture resistance.
