Overview
Two-component epoxy glass flake anti-rust intermediate coating with barrier performance, waterproofing/anti-permeation properties, and chemical resistance.
It is described as having strong adhesion, a tough and wear-resistant film, high mechanical strength, and long-term corrosion protection.
Composition
Epoxy resin, glass flakes, anti-rust pigments, additives, solvent, and curing agent; supplied as Part A and Part B.
Typical uses
Anti-rust and anti-corrosion protection for steel and concrete substrates in ship, offshore engineering, underground mines, chemical areas, wastewater treatment and other heavy-duty corrosion environments.

Appearance / color: Iron oxide red, light gray, white.
Theoretical consumption: 0.12 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (losses not included).
Density / specific gravity: 13 kg/L.
Drying / curing (25°C): Touch dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 days.

Mixing ratio (A:B): 25:2.5.
Induction time: 5 min.
Pot life: 4 h.
Application methods: Airless spray, brush, roller.
Thinner / Cleaner: X-7 epoxy thinner; typical dilution 2–8% (air spray/roller may require more).
Recoat interval / overcoating interval (25°C): Minimum 24 h; maximum 7 days.
Recommended DFT: 60–80 µm per coat (brush/roller: 30–50 µm per coat).
Surface preparation
Abrasive blasting or shot blasting to Sa 2.5, or power-tool cleaning to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.

Shelf life: 12 months.
Storage: Store in a dry, cool, ventilated warehouse away from fire sources and direct sunlight; outdoor storage is not permitted.
