PLBS52-4 Premium acrylic polyurethane topcoat Description

Overview
Two-component acrylic polyurethane topcoat with weathering and color retention performance for long-term heavy-duty anti-corrosion service.
Applicable for low-temperature construction.

Composition
Formulated with polyurethane resin, high-grade pigments, solvents, and imported additives.
Cured with polyisocyanate; supplied in Part A & Part B packs.

Typical uses
Long-term heavy-duty anti-corrosion topcoat for large bridges, port machinery, construction machinery, containers, hydropower, nuclear power, large gates, tanks (including high-pressure tanks), and large steel towers.

Technical data (typical)

  • Appearance: Various colors.

  • Theoretical consumption: 0.13 kg/m² at 40 μm DFT (excluding loss).

  • Density: 1.2 kg/L.

  • Drying time (25°C): Surface dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; fully cured 7 d.

  • Adhesion: Grade 1; bending 1 mm; impact 50; hardness 2H; gloss 87.

Application data (25°C)

  • Mixing ratio (Part A:Part B): 18:3.

  • Induction time: 5 min.

  • Pot life: 3 h.

  • Application methods: Airless spray, brush, roller.

  • Thinner: X-10 polyurethane thinner; dilution 3–7%.

  • Recoat interval (25°C): Min 24 h; max 7 d.

  • Recommended coats / DFT: 1 coat 30–50 μm; brush/roller 1 coat 30–40 μm.

Surface preparation
When applied over two-component primers: all surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants; if beyond maximum recoat interval, roughen the surface.
When used as the first coat: blast/shot blast to Sa 2.5 or power-tool cleaning to St 3; surface profile 30–75 μm.

System compatibility / packing / storage

  • Compatibility: Previous coat—epoxy zinc-rich primer; inorganic zinc-rich primer; epoxy MIO intermediate coating; polyurethane intermediate coating.

  • Packing: Part A 18 kg; Part B 3 kg.

  • Storage: Shelf life 12 months; store dry/cool/ventilated, away from fire and direct sunlight; no outdoor stacking.
