Waterborne inorganic zinc-rich primer (2K) for cathodic protection of large steelwork.
Tanks, bridges, towers, ships and steel structures.
0.27 kg/m² at 50 µm; pot life 5 h.
Water thinning ≤5%; blast to Sa 2.5.
Overview
Two-component waterborne inorganic zinc-rich anti-corrosion primer for large steel structures requiring cathodic protection and high-temperature resistance.
Film emphasizes cathodic protection, hardness, and abrasion resistance on steel structures such as tanks, bridges, and towers.
Composition
Waterborne curing resin as binder combined with high-quality zinc powder; two-component waterborne coating using water as thinner.
Typical uses
Anti-rust and anti-corrosion protection for indoor and outdoor large steel components such as oil tanks, steel structures, transmission towers, bridges, ships, TV towers, and similar facilities.
Technical data (typical)

Density: 2.2–2.8 kg/L.
Theoretical consumption: 0.27 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (loss not included).
Drying time (25℃): surface dry 0.5 h; hard dry 3 h; full cure 48 h.
Heat resistance: up to 400℃ without affecting welding and cutting.
Application data (25°C)
Application methods: spray, brush.
Pot life: 5 h at 25℃.
Thinner: clean water, ≤5%.
Recoat interval: min 24 h.
Surface preparation
Steel: blast or power-tool clean to Sa 2.5 or St 3 with surface profile 30–75 µm before application.
System compatibility / packing / storage
System compatibility: zinc-rich primer for multi-coat systems on large steel structures; subsequent coats should be applied as a fine mist first to avoid bubbling.
Construction conditions: ambient 5–35℃ and at least 3℃ above dew point; not suitable in rain, fog, snow, or when RH >85%.
Storage: dry, cool, ventilated warehouse; 5–35℃; avoid strong sunlight; no outdoor stacking.
Shelf life: 8 months.
