Overview
Two-component epoxy anti-rust coating for steel hulls and marine structures where mechanical strength and chemical stability are required.
Film emphasizes wetting properties, corrosion resistance, and mechanical durability for ship hull priming above and below waterline.
Composition
Part A: epoxy resin with special anti-rust pigments, fillers, solvent, and additives.
Part B: amine adduct curing agent.

Anti-rust primer for ship hulls above waterline and as bottom anti-rust coating.
Technical data (typical)
Appearance: iron red.
Theoretical consumption: 0.16 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (loss not included).
Density: 1.35 kg/L.
Drying time (25℃): surface dry 2 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 d.
Application data (25°C)
Mixing ratio (Part A:Part B): 30:3.
Induction time: 5 min at 25℃.
Pot life: 4 h at 25℃.
Application methods: airless spray, brush, roller.
Thinner: epoxy thinner, 2–8% (higher for air spray/roller).
Recoat interval: min 24 h; max 7 d.
Recommended coats/DFT: 1 coat 60–80 µm (spray); brush/roller 1 coat 35–50 µm.
Recommended subsequent coats: epoxy topcoat; polyurethane topcoat; acrylic, chlorinated rubber, or chlorinated ether topcoats.
Surface preparation
Steel: blast-clean or spray-clean to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.
System compatibility / packing / storage
System compatibility: primer under epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, chlorinated rubber, or chlorinated ether topcoats for marine applications.
Construction conditions: RH ≤85%; 5–35℃; avoid rain/snow, strong wind (>6.7 m/s), heavy fog, intense sunlight.
Storage: dry, cool, ventilated warehouse away from fire sources; avoid strong sunlight; no outdoor stacking; shelf life 12 months.
Packing: Part A 30 kg; Part B 3 kg.
