Overview
Two-component epoxy zinc phosphate anti-rust primer for heavy-duty corrosion protection of steel structures.
It is described as having good water resistance, salt water resistance, corrosion resistance, durability, adhesion, impact resistance, and coating system compatibility.

Composition
Epoxy resin, zinc phosphate, pigments, synergistic anti-rust pigments, solvent, additives, and curing agent; two-component primer.

  • Heavy-duty anti-corrosion primer for steel structures in ports, docks, heavy structures, mining machinery, power machinery plants, and water conservancy projects.

Technical data (typical)

  • Appearance / color: Iron oxide red, gray.

  • Theoretical consumption: 0.12 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (losses not included).

  • Density / specific gravity: 1.4 kg/L.

  • Drying / curing (25°C): Touch dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 days.

Application data (25°C)

  • Mixing ratio (A:B): 7:1.

  • Induction time: 5 min.

  • Pot life: 4 h.

  • Application methods: Airless spray, brush, roller.

  • Thinner / Cleaner: X-7 epoxy thinner; typical dilution 2–8% (air spray/roller may require more).

  • Recoat interval / overcoating interval (25°C): Minimum 24 h; maximum 7 days.

  • Recommended DFT: 50–80 µm per coat (brush/roller: 30–50 µm per coat).

Surface preparation

  • Abrasive blasting or shot blasting to Sa 2.5, or power-tool cleaning to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.

System compatibility / packing / storage

  • Compatible topcoats: epoxy MIO intermediate coating, epoxy topcoat, polyurethane topcoat, acrylic topcoat.

  • Shelf life: 12 months.

  • Storage: Store in a dry, cool, ventilated warehouse away from fire sources and direct sunlight; outdoor storage is not permitted.

  • Packaging: Part A 21 kg; Part B 3 kg.
