Epoxy rust-tolerant anti-rust primer (2K) for steel surfaces with slight rust.
Applicable on St1/St2 prepared steel; surface profile 15–35 µm (as stated).
Stabilizes rust by complexation with the substrate before hardening (as described).
Compatible with epoxy MIO intermediate and epoxy/PU topcoat systems.
PLH53-5 Epoxy Rust-Tolerant Anti-Rust Primer is a two-component, polyamide-cured epoxy rust-tolerant anti-rust primer designed for application on slightly rusted steel surfaces and incompletely cleaned metal surfaces.
The product is formulated with epoxy resin, active anti-rust pigments, organic nitrogen base, penetrant, stabilizer, additives, and solvent, and is supplied with a polyamide curing agent as Part A and Part B. The coating film is described as forming stable complexation with the substrate before hardening to stabilize rust and provide durable rust protection.
