C04-2 Alkyd Enamel Coating (Universal Type)
Single-component general-purpose alkyd enamel with good gloss and mechanical film properties for metal and wood decorative and protective applications. Ambient cure, compatible with alkyd primer systems. 50–60µm DFT per 2-coat system.
C06-1 Alkyd Anti-Corrosion Primer (Iron Red / Red Lead)
Single-component alkyd iron oxide primer with good adhesion and corrosion resistance for ferrous metal substrates. Compatible with nitrocellulose, alkyd and phenolic topcoat systems. Sa2.5 prep, 50–60µm DFT per 2-coat system.
About Alkyd Industrial Coatings
Alkyd coatings are the workhorse of general industrial finishing — single-component, solvent-borne systems that cure by oxidative crosslinking at ambient temperature with no mixing required. Their combination of good adhesion, rust inhibition, smooth film formation, gloss and broad substrate compatibility makes them the go-to choice for maintenance repainting, general steel structures, fabricated metal products and wood in non-aggressive environments.
This series provides a complete matched system: CO6-1 anti-rust primer establishes the adhesion and corrosion-inhibition foundation on prepared ferrous metal, while C04-1 and C04-2 enamel topcoats deliver the decorative gloss finish. All three products are applied by airless spray, air spray, brush or roller — no specialist equipment required.

General Steel Structures
Fabricated steel components, light structural steel and general metalwork in non-aggressive atmospheric environments benefit from the alkyd system’s good adhesion, corrosion inhibition and decorative finish at low cost. CO6-1 primer followed by C04-2 enamel is the standard specification.
Metal & Wood Products
Metal furniture, doors, window frames, agricultural tools and wood joinery all benefit from alkyd enamel’s smooth, glossy finish and ambient cure. C04-1 tint base and C04-2 enamel provide decorative and protective coating in any colour on both metal and wood substrates.
Maintenance Repainting
Alkyd coatings are the first choice for maintenance repainting of existing structures where surface preparation is limited and simple application without mixing is essential. Compatible with existing alkyd and phenolic paint systems, enabling touch-up and overcoating without full strip-down.
Light Industrial Equipment
Pumps, valves, light machinery and factory equipment operating in mild atmospheric conditions are routinely finished with alkyd systems. Their ease of application by brush, roller or spray, combined with no pot-life constraints, makes alkyd coatings practical for small-scale maintenance operations.
