Epoxy Zinc Primer (2K, C6-Modified) – Two-component epoxy zinc primer (C6-modified) for cathodic-protection priming.
Salt spray resistance 1300 h (as stated).
Theoretical consumption 0.25 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (losses not included).
For offshore platforms, underwater steel, pipelines, oil tanks, bridges, and petrochemical steel structures.
Overview
Two-component epoxy zinc primer modified with special C6-element material and cured with a polyamide hardener.
It is intended for cathodic-protection priming and use in industrial anti-corrosion coating systems, including localized repair of inorganic zinc-rich primer coatings.
Composition
Epoxy resin, ultrafine zinc powder, anti-settling agent, toughening agent, solvent; modified with special C6-element material; polyamide curing agent; supplied as Part A and Part B.
Typical uses
Ship repair/building, bridges, petrochemical facilities, steel structures, offshore platforms, underwater steel structures, pipelines, and oil tanks.
Used as a cathodic-protection primer and for localized repair of inorganic zinc-rich primer coatings.
