PLG52 Perchloroethylene anti-corrosion coating (primer/topcoat) Description

Overview
Single-component perchloroethylene anti-corrosion coating system (primer/topcoat) with fast drying and relatively high hardness.
Provides weather resistance and corrosion resistance; suitable for low-temperature application.

Composition
Formulated with perchloroethylene resin, modified resin, pigments, extenders, plasticizer, and mixed solvents.

Typical uses
Anti-corrosion for mechanical equipment, metal structures, and concrete surfaces.

Technical data (typical)

  • Appearance: Primer—red iron oxide; topcoat—various colors.

  • Theoretical consumption: Primer 0.18 kg/m²; topcoat 0.2 kg/m²; both at 50 μm DFT (excluding loss).

  • Density: Primer 1.4 kg/L; topcoat 1.2 kg/L.

  • Drying time (25°C): Surface dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h.

Application data (25°C)

  • Mixing: Single-component.

  • Induction time: None.

  • Pot life: Unlimited.

  • Application methods: Airless spray, brush, roller.

  • Thinner: X-1 thinner; dilution 3–7%.

  • Recoat interval (25°C): Min 12 h; max unlimited.

  • Recommended coats / DFT: 1 coat 40–60 μm; brush/roller 1 coat 30–40 μm.

Surface preparation
Steel: blast/shot blast to Sa 2.5, or power-tool cleaning to St 3.
Surface profile: 30–75 μm.

System compatibility / packing / storage

  • Compatibility: PLG52 system—anti-corrosion primer + topcoat.

  • Packing: 20 kg.

  • Storage: Shelf life 12 months; store dry/cool/ventilated, away from fire and direct sunlight; no outdoor stacking.
