Overview
Cyanate waterproof and anti-corrosion coating supplied as primer and topcoat.

Composition
Cyanate prepolymer, modified resin, adhesion promoter, pigments, solvent, moisture-proofing agent, vulcanization accelerator.

Typical uses
Anti-corrosion protection for steel and concrete surfaces.
Can be used as a waterproof flooring coating and for cooling tower internal wall protection.

Technical data (typical)

  • Appearance: primer iron red or grey; topcoat various colors.

  • Theoretical consumption: primer 0.17 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (loss not included).

  • Theoretical consumption: topcoat 0.13 kg/m² at approx. 40 µm DFT (loss not included).

  • Density: primer 1.4 kg/L; topcoat 1.2 kg/L.

  • Drying time (25°C): surface dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 d.

Application data (25°C)

  • Mixing ratio (A:B): primer 22:2.

  • Mixing ratio (A:B): topcoat 22:3.

  • Induction time: 5 min.

  • Pot life: 2 h.

  • Application methods: airless spray, brush, roller.

  • Thinner: X-5 cyanate thinner, 3–7%.

  • Recoat interval: min 12 h; max 7 d.

  • Recommended DFT per coat: 40–60 µm (brush/roller 30–45 µm).

Surface preparation
Steel: blast to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.
Concrete: sound and dry; moisture content ≤6%; clean and free of oil/dirt; repair defects before coating.

System compatibility / packing / storage

  • System compatibility: PN-3 cyanate waterproof and anti-corrosion primer + topcoat.

  • Packing: primer Part A 22 kg, Part B 2 kg; topcoat Part A 22 kg, Part B 3 kg.

  • Storage: dry, cool, ventilated; away from fire; avoid strong sunlight; no outdoor storage.

  • Shelf life: 12 months.
