PLT-2 Cold Spray Zinc Anti-Corrosion Primer

Overview
Single-component cold spray zinc anti-corrosion primer combining cathodic protection and barrier protection.​

Composition
Ultra-fine zinc powder, special olefin resin, trace solvent.​

Typical uses
Anti-corrosion for steel components such as towers, bridges, pipelines, storage tanks, containers, ships, vehicle logos, nameplates, and fences.​
Used for long-term protection of new steel to replace hot-dip galvanizing, thermal spray zinc, and conventional anti-corrosion systems.​
Can be used as a single-layer metal protection coating or as a primer in heavy-duty coating systems.​

• Appearance: zinc grey.​

• Gloss: matte.​

• Thinner: dedicated thinner.​

• Total zinc content: 96%.​

• Theoretical consumption: 0.36 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (loss not included).​

• Density: 3.0 kg/L.​

• Drying time (25°C): surface dry 20 min; hard dry 8 h; full cure 7 d.​

• Mixing: single-component.​

• Induction time: none.​

• Pot life: unlimited.​

• Application methods: airless spray, brush.​

• Thinner: dedicated thinner, 3–8%.​

• Recoat interval: min 10 h; max 7 d.​

• Recommended DFT per coat: 50–80 µm (brush/roller 40–50 µm).​

Surface preparation
Steel: blast to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.​

System compatibility / packing / storage

• Packing: 30 kg.​

• Storage: dry, cool, ventilated; away from fire; avoid strong sunlight; no outdoor storage.​

• Shelf life: 12 months.
