Overview
Two-component polyurethane topcoat for steel substrates on heavy construction equipment where weatherability and abrasion resistance are required.
Film emphasizes adhesion to primer, hardness, gloss, impact resistance, and resistance to water, oil, and chemicals for earthmoving machinery.
Composition
Part A: polyester acrylic resin with premium pigments, solvent, and imported additives.
Part B: aliphatic weather-resistant curing agent.
Typical uses
Topcoat used with HS06-1 engineering machinery primer on cranes, loaders, excavators, bulldozers, overhead cranes, mining machinery, dock machinery, and coal mining equipment.
Technical data (typical)
Appearance: black, orange red, yellow, or other colors.
Theoretical consumption: 0.1 kg/m² at 30 µm DFT (loss not included).
Density: 1.15 kg/L.
Drying time (25℃): surface dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 d.
Application data (25°C)
Mixing ratio (Part A:Part B): 3:1.
Induction time: 5 min at 25℃.
Pot life: 4 h at 25℃.
Application methods: spray, brush.
Thinner: X-10 polyurethane thinner, 3–9%.
Recoat interval: min 12 h; max 7 d.
Recommended coats/DFT: 1 coat 20–30 µm (spray or brush).
Surface preparation
Over primer: all surfaces clean, dry, contaminant-free; roughen if maximum recoat interval exceeded.
As first coat: blast-clean to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm; phosphating/passivation optional per customer.
System compatibility / packing / storage
System compatibility: used with HS06-1 engineering machinery primer for complete heavy equipment coating system.
Construction conditions: RH ≤85%; 5–35℃; avoid rain/snow, strong wind (>6.7 m/s), heavy fog, intense sunlight.
Storage: dry, cool, ventilated away from fire sources; avoid strong sunlight; no outdoor stacking; shelf life 12 months.
Packing: Part A 21 kg; Part B 7 kg.
