B04-2 Acrylic Enamel Coating Descriotion

Overview
Acrylic enamel coating for steel substrates on vehicles, machinery, and steel structures where high hardness and weatherability are required.
Performance focus: fast drying, adhesion, hardness, long-term color/gloss retention, and salt spray / damp-heat resistance.

Composition
Acrylic resin with weather-resistant pigments, additives, and solvent.

Typical uses
Surface decoration for automobiles, construction machinery, mining machinery, agricultural machinery, metal products, and steel structures.

Technical data (typical)

  • Appearance: various colors.

  • Theoretical consumption: 0.10 kg/m² at 25 µm DFT (loss not included).

  • Drying time (25℃): surface dry ≤0.5 h; hard dry ≤3 h.

  • Salt water resistance: 60 h, no blistering or peeling; slight color change allowed.

Application data (25°C)

  • Mixing ratio: single-pack.

  • Application methods: air spray, high-pressure airless spray, electrostatic spray.

  • Thinner: acrylic thinner.

  • Recoat interval: min 2 h; max unlimited.

  • Recommended primers: acrylic primer; high-chlorinated polyethylene primer; chlorosulfonated polyethylene primer; epoxy primer.

  • Application conditions: suitable for low-temperature application; do not apply in rain/fog/snow or RH >85%; avoid strong sunlight in hot seasons.

Surface preparation
Over primer: surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contamination.
As first primer: blast-clean to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.

System compatibility / packing / storage

  • Compatibility: compatible over acrylic, high-chlorinated polyethylene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, or epoxy primers.

  • Packing: 22 kg.

  • Storage: dry, cool, ventilated warehouse; keep away from ignition and heat sources; shelf life 12 months.
