PLSX-05 Waterborne Alkyd Anti-Rust Coating

Overview
Single-pack waterborne alkyd anti-rust coating for general steel anti-corrosion with low VOC.​

Composition
Waterborne alkyd resin binder with anti-rust pigments, functional fillers, special waterborne additives; water as thinner.​

Typical uses
Metal anti-rust coating for steel structures, industrial equipment, machinery manufacturing, hardware, valves, and pipelines.​

Technical data (typical)

• Appearance: iron red, grey.​

• Density: 1.3 kg/L.​

• Theoretical consumption: 0.2 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (loss not included).​

• Drying time (25°C): surface dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 d.​

• Forced drying (if oven available): flash-off 15 min, 90℃ for 25 min.​

Application data (25°C)

• Application methods: spray, brush, roller.​

• Thinner: pure water, ≤10%.​

• Recoat interval: ≥24 h.​

Surface preparation
Steel surface clean and free from oil, weld slag, dust, and loose rust; blast to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3 with 30–75 µm profile.​

System compatibility / packing / storage

• Construction conditions: ambient 5–35°C; not suitable in rain, fog, snow, or RH ≥85%.​

• Storage: dry, cool, ventilated; 5–35°C; avoid strong sunlight, severe cold, and rain.​

• Shelf life: 6 months.
