Overview
Waterborne dedicated primer for substrates prepared by high-pressure water jetting; applicable on damp surfaces without visible water droplets.
Composition
Imported special-structure copolymer emulsion with functional additives, reinforcing resin, and coalescing agent; waterborne primer with water as thinner.
Typical uses
For facilities/equipment prepared by high-pressure water jetting rust removal, including tanks, gas holders, bridges, pipelines, brackets, and mechanical equipment; suitable for steel substrate coating and maintenance.
Technical data (typical)
Appearance: milky white emulsion liquid.
Density: 1.16 kg/L.
Theoretical consumption: 0.1 kg/m² at 40 µm DFT (loss not included).
Drying time (25°C): surface dry 30 min; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 d.
Application data (25°C)
Application methods: spray, brush.
Thinner: clean water, <5%.
Recoat interval: after this primer is applied, topcoat can be applied after ≥2 h drying.
Recommended system: PLSQ dedicated primer + epoxy iron oxide red primer + epoxy MIO grey intermediate coating + polyurethane topcoat.
Surface preparation
Use high-pressure water jetting equipment to remove rust, old coatings, and mill scale, meeting the specified cleanliness grade and surface profile; rinse with clean water, then apply when the substrate remains damp but has no visible water droplets.
System compatibility / packing / storage
Packing: 20 kg.
Storage: dry, cool, ventilated; storage temperature 5–30°C; avoid strong sunlight exposure, severe cold, and rain.
