Overview
Single-component waterborne damp-proof anti-corrosion primer for cooling tower internal walls and concrete structures.
Composition
APP (atactic polypropylene) water emulsion, waterborne epoxy emulsion, pigments, stabilizer, protective agent, flame retardant, and additives.
Typical uses
For damp-proof and anti-corrosion protection of power plant cooling tower internal walls, tunnels, basements, gates, bridge piers, cavities, and buried pipelines.
Technical data (typical)
Appearance: primer iron red or grey; topcoat various colors.
Theoretical consumption: primer 0.17 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (loss not included).
Theoretical consumption: topcoat 0.2 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (loss not included).
Density: primer 1.4 kg/L; topcoat 1.3 kg/L.
Drying time (25°C): surface dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 d.
Acid resistance: 3% H2SO4, 48 h.
Alkali resistance: 3% NaOH, 48 h.
Salt resistance: 3% NaCl, 48 h.
Application data (25°C)
Mixing: single-component.
Induction time: none.
Pot life: unlimited.
Application methods: airless spray, brush.
Thinner: water, ≤7%.
Recoat interval: min 12 h; max 7 d.
Recommended DFT per coat: 30–50 µm (brush 30–40 µm).
Surface preparation
Steel: blast to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.
Concrete: sound, clean, and level; moisture content ≤6%; repair defects before coating; apply sealer primer where specified.
System compatibility / packing / storage
System compatibility: APPA-1 waterborne damp-proof anti-corrosion primer + APPB-2 waterborne damp-proof anti-corrosion topcoat.
Packing: 22 kg.
Storage: store at ≥5°C, dry, cool, and ventilated; away from fire; avoid strong sunlight; no outdoor storage.
Shelf life: 12 months.

Salt spray resistance 1300 h (as stated).
Theoretical consumption 0.25 kg/m² at 50 µm DFT (losses not included).
