Overview
Two-component epoxy zinc-rich primer providing cathodic protection for steel substrates in anti-corrosion coating systems.
Composition
Epoxy resin, ultrafine zinc powder, anti-settling additives, toughening additives, mixed solvents; polyamide curing agent; supplied as Part A and Part B.
Typical uses
Ship repair/building, bridges, iron towers, gas holders, oil tanks, and general steel structures.
Localized repair of inorganic zinc-rich primer coatings.

Drying / curing (25°C): Touch dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 days.

Mixing ratio (A:B): 30:3.
Induction time: 5 min.
Pot life: 4 h.
Application methods: Airless spray, brush, roller.
Thinner / Cleaner: X-7 epoxy thinner; typical dilution 2–8% (air spray/roller may require more).
Recoat interval / overcoating interval (25°C): Minimum 12 h; maximum not limited.
Recommended DFT: 50–80 µm per coat (brush/roller: 35–50 µm per coat).
Surface preparation
Abrasive blasting or shot blasting to Sa 2.5, or power-tool cleaning to St 3.
Surface profile: 30–75 µm.
System compatibility / packing / storage
Compatible topcoats: epoxy MIO intermediate coating, epoxy topcoat, polyurethane topcoat; also acrylic, chlorinated rubber, high chlorinated polyethylene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, and chlorinated ether topcoats.
Shelf life: 12 months.
Storage: Store in a dry, cool, ventilated warehouse away from fire sources and direct sunlight; outdoor storage is not permitted.
Packaging: Part A 30 kg; Part B 3 kg.

Fast drying at 25°C, RH 70–85%: touch dry 10 min; hard dry 2 h; cured 24 h.
Mix ratio 28:7; thinner X-11 inorganic zinc thinner (5–20%); compatible with epoxy/PU coating systems.
Epoxy MIO intermediate coating (2K) for barrier protection in cathodic-protection coating systems.
Used with PLH53-35 epoxy zinc primer as a supporting intermediate coat.
Salt water resistance: 20 days (as stated).
Mixing ratio 8:1 (by weight); recommended DFT 60–90 µm per coat.
Epoxy Iron Oxide Red Anti-Rust Primer (2K) – Two-component epoxy anti-rust primer for steel structures.
For general steel structure corrosion protection; can be used for concrete with an epoxy sealer primer.
Mix ratio 24:3; pot life 4 h (25°C).
Recoat 24 h–7 d (25°C); overcoatable with epoxy and polyurethane systems.
