Two-component silicone high-temperature primer for long-term service at 500°C.
Composition
Alkyl silicate, silicone resin, functional pigments, heat-resistant pigments, anti-corrosion additives, auxiliaries, curing agent; supplied as Part A & Part B.

For high-temperature equipment requiring 400–500°C resistance for protection and decoration.

Theoretical consumption: 0.11 kg/m² at 30 µm DFT (loss not included).

Drying time (25°C): surface dry 1 h; hard dry 24 h; full cure 7 d.

Pot life: 4 h.
Application methods: airless spray, brush, roller.
Thinner: W61 dedicated thinner, 5–10%.
Recoat interval: min 24 h; max unlimited.
Recommended DFT per coat: 20–30 µm (brush 20–30 µm).
Surface preparation
Steel: blast to Sa 2.5 or power-tool clean to St 3; surface profile 30–75 µm.
System compatibility / packing / storage
System compatibility: W61-500 silicone high-temperature primer + W61-500 silicone aluminium pigmented high-temperature topcoat.
Packing: Part A 25 kg; Part B 0.5 kg.
Storage: dry, cool, ventilated; away from fire; avoid strong sunlight; no outdoor storage.
Shelf life: 6 months.
